Indian Tricolour on MotoGP Yamaha YZR-M1

If you have recently watched Yamaha bikes at the Qatar Losail International Circuit closely , you could notice the Indian tri-colour and word India near the visor.

These decals were seen on both the bikes of Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales’ bikes at the Qatar test on February 23-25.

We will need to see if they continue using it when the MotoGP 2019 officially begins its first race on March 8 2019 at the same race track.

Yamaha’s Indian arm uses MotoGP as a promotional tool in the country most of the time with recent R15 MotoGP edition with Movistar logo and also by having The GP bikes at the biennial Auto Expo motor show in Greater Noida.

Now it depends if Yamaha India used it as a promotional tool or in wake of the terror attacks on Indian forces on 14 Feb 2019.
